At ona Renewals, we keep it simple – using ingredients inspired by nature to stimulate the body’s natural healing powers to provide relief, restoration and renewal.
We intentionally formulate our products with the basics – building holistic, powerful solutions from essential ingredients like natural saline, witch hazel and hypochlorous acid to deliver safe, effective relief. It’s as simple as that.
Why Hypochlorus Acid?
Hypochlorus acid (HOCl) is the base for our perineal spray. And while it may sound intense… fear not! HOCl is gentle on the skin and naturally produced by white blood cells in humans (and all mammals).
It can also be produced inorganically by dissolving chlorine in water through a process called electrolysis. The result is a super-powered, safe-on-skin solution that disinfects and fights bacteria, treats wounds, speeds up recovery and eases inflammation. [3][4]
Why Witch Hazel?
Witch hazel is the base for our perineal pad liners. Witch hazel is an astringent derived from the leaves and bark of the shrub plant native to North America, most commonly the hamamelis virginiana species.
Historically used across centuries in American folk medicine, witch hazel has proven benefits in easing inflammation, soothing sensitive skin and fighting off infections. [2]
Why Saline?
Natural saline is the base for our nose wipes and micro-mist inhaler. Saline is a solution of salt (sodium chloride) and water, often used medically to rinse the sinuses, clear airways, treat wounds and more.
We use a 0.9% isotonic saline solution, which is the same amount of saline that naturally occurs in the human body – working holistically with your system to regulate and restore. [1]
